The mission runs a food program that is presently preparing an average of 300 meals every day. The meals are then delivered to different distribution centers and picked up by the beneficiaries. A distribution center may mean a table on the road but it serves the purpose of making meals available. In some cases where the beneficiaries are too old, sick or cannot get to the distribution center we use the “meals on wheels” model of delivering food to their doorstep. Besides the cooked meals we deliver, we also help other beneficiaries with monthly food hampers depending on the situation of the people involved. The beneficiaries in both cases are people who live in poverty or extreme poverty. They either come to us asking for support or we discover them through our work in the community. After evaluating their reality we include them in the program.
